CATEGORY REGULATIONS – OPEN

OPEN
are the competitors who have won at least one national and/or international
competition or the ones who contribute to specialized magazines,
even though discontinuously.
-
Colour and in black and white prints are admitted in the size from
20x30cm to 30x45cm, without passe-partout or any other kind of frames.
-
Open competitors should present a 3 Print Portfolio bearing on the
back: name, surname, address, phone number, work title and pertaining
theme.
- Jury’s decisions are inappellable.
THE
3 PRINTS MUST BE DIVIDED IN THE FOLLOWING THEMES:
Nr. 1 WIDE ANGLE/MARINE ENVIRONMENT SHOT
Nr. 2 MACRO/CLOSE-UP SHOTS FREE THEME
PRINT

-
Beginners are the competitors who participate in underwater competitions
for the first time and who, in practice, have never won any national
or international competition.
-
Beginners can participate with max. Nr. 1 colour print for each
theme in the size from 20x30cm to 30x45cm, without passe-partout
or any other kind of frames.
-
Prints should bear on their back: name, surname, address, phone
number, work title and pertaining theme.
- Jury’s decisions are inappellable.
PRINTS
MUST BE DIVIDED IN THE FOLLOWING THEMES:
Nr. 1 WIDE ANGLE/MARINE ENVIRONMENT SHOT
Nr. 1 MACRO/CLOSE-UP SHOT FREE THEME
UNDERWATER
VIDEO REGULATIONS
-
The
5th Underwater Video Trophy “TOWN OF FAENZA” will take
place from 22nd. March to 06th. April 2008 and it is divided in 2 categories:
OPEN and BEGINNERS.
Beginners are the video amateurs never awarded a prize in other
competitions.
Open are the video amateurs who have awarded a prize in other competitions.

The
deadline for the entry and video submission is 03rd. March 2008.

The
Organization will reject any parcel sent carriage on delivery and
will also refuse the entry.
-
The
Centro Sub Faenza undertakes to handle the works with the utmost
care and won’t be held responsible in any way for any losses
or damages occurred to the works.
-
The
entry fee is of 30,00 Euro for the first movie in competition and
of 15,00 Euro for any additional movie. Each participant can enter
up to a max of 3 videos using one entry form duly filled in for
each video.
-
Only
the works chosen by a pre-selection Jury will take part in the competition.
-
Movies in competition can be sent in the following video standards:
VHS, Mini DV, Video CD, DVD, Hi8 and DVDCAM.
-
The
use of TV images already broadcasted is strictly forbidden, if not
for documental purposes.
-
Movies
in competition can be presented by more than one author and cameramen.
-
Maximum
length allowed for each movie is of 20 min. although shorter videos
will be more appreciated; nevertheless, the underwater shooting
must take at least the 50% of the entire movie duration.
-
The
1st, the 2nd and the 3rd placed will be awarded by the Jury in both
Open and Beginners categories.
-
At
the end of the competition each participant will be given the results
and the Jury’s opinion.
-
The
awarded works will be Centro Sub Faenza-owned and they will be used
to promote the Underwater Video Trophy “TOWN OF FAENZA”
for non profit purposes and mentioning the author.
This use won’t imply the payment of copyrights or any other
kind of rewards. People interested in buying a work will be put
in touch directly with the author/s.

The
Organization, in compliance with the fixed regulations of copyright,
consider that the works in competition are exempted from any artistic
property rights or any other right stemming from third persons.
The authors commit themselves in assuring the Organizers of Centro
Sub Faenza against any legal action that might be taken against
them by possible entitled parties.
The Centro Sub Faenza cannot be considered responsible should any
dispute or quarrel arise.

decisions are inappellable.

The
participation in the 5th Underwater Video Trophy 2007 “TOWN
OF FAENZA” implies the acceptance of all the conditions stated
in the a/m regulations.
2nd.
DIGITAL FILM-SHOW COMPETITION REGULATIONS
- The
UNDERWATER DIGITAL FILM-SHOW Competition is open to all underwater photographers,
without distinction of category.
- Competitors can send their underwater
shots recorded on CD or DVD, as a multi-media film-show.
- The sound-visual film-show cutting can be made using the most common
software programmes available on the market. REMARKS: a digital film-show is a sequence of fading images or shown
with any other visual effect, accompanied by a sound track. The subject
is completely free and it is open to all kinds of underwater shots.
The only obligation being that, at least once in the film-show presentation,
a slide multi-film-show is simulated, with the use of at least 3 slide-projectors.
- Maximum length is of 6 minutes. It is allowed to insert location/terrestrial
shots on condition that they don’t exceed the 20% of the entire
film-show duration.
- Jury’s decisions are inappellable.
- ENTRY: The entry fee is of 25,00 Euro. Each participant can send one
film-show only.
- The first three placed will be awarded.

In the UNDERWATER VIDEO competitions (OPEN and BEGINNERS categories)
and in the DIGITAL FILM-SHOW competition the first three placed
will be awarded.

In
the UNDERWATER PHOTO competition (OPEN category) the first three
PORTFOLIO and the 1st placed of each theme will be awarded.
-
In
the UNDERWATER PHOTO competition (BEGINNERS category) the first
three of each theme will be awarded.
-
In
the PRINT section, a global entry fee of 30,00 Euro is requested
as reimbursement of expenses.
-
In
the UNDERWATER VIDEO section, an entry fee of 30,00 Euro is requested
for the first video in competition, as reimbursement of expenses,
plus 15,00 Euro for each additional video.
-
In
the DIGITAL FILM-SHOW section, an entry fee of 25,00 Euro is requested
as reimbursement of expenses.
-
For
the entire duration of the exhibition the public can give their
preference by voting their favourite print among the ones exhibited
by means of a card.
The “2008 Public’s Prize” award will take place
on April 05th.
The
results will be available on the site www.ameba.org/csf
starting from 05th April 2008 in the morning.
The highest City Authorities, F.I.P.S.A.S. representatives and correspondents
of the specialized and sports press will attend the event.
After the prize-giving ceremony, a dinner will take place with those
present at about 20:00 hrs. (booking compulsory).
